MEDIPEAU Showcases its Film-Type Wound Dressing Cream at 51st Annual Fall Meeting of Korean Pediatric Association

Date: 2025-10-08

CHUNCHEON -- MEDIPEAU Inc., a company specializing in therapeutic solutions for atopic dermatitis, introduced its groundbreaking “BARRICURE Aid Film MD” during the 51st Annual Fall Meeting of the Korean Pediatric Association, held on September 14, 2025, at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas.

At the event, the product drew significant attention from pediatric healthcare professionals as it had received official approval as a medical device. Physicians noted that its reimbursement eligibility and practical prescribing options will enable more effective treatment of pediatric patients suffering from atopic dermatitis and related skin conditions.

BARRICURE Aid Film MD is a next-generation wound dressing designed for compromised skin conditions, including atopic dermatitis, minor burns, and itching. It features MEDIPEAU’s proprietary “MD-Hydro” coating technology, which provides a three-layer protective structure offering moisture retention, skin barrier protection, and prevention of scratching-induced damage.

The product consists of three layers: a cream layer that directly contacts the skin and contains MEDIPEAU’s patented ingredients, DERMA-CLERA ® and MDmellar ®, along with other actives that support skin recovery and regeneration; a natural cotton layer that provides long-lasting moisturization and minimizes irritation; and an outer polyurethane protective layer that prevents evaporation of active ingredients and moisture while shielding the skin from external irritants.

Mr. Kim, CEO of GN Pharm, MEDIPEAU’s exclusive distributor in Korea, stated, “Through this academic event, we aim to widely communicate the efficacy and convenience of our new product to physicians dedicated to atopic care, and ultimately provide meaningful support in the treatment and prevention of atopic dermatitis in children.”
