Zero Labor Home: How LG Electronics Brings AI to Life Across Homes, Mobility and Infrastructure With Affectionate Intelligence

LG¡¯s ¡°AI in Action¡± Vision Still Resonates Two Months After CES
Date: 2026-03-22

At its annual LG World Premiere, LG unveiled its strategy for bringing AI into real-world environments.

SEOUL — LG Electronics unveiled its bold approach to “AI in Action” at its annual LG World Premiere event, held on the eve of CES 2026. Today, the themes and innovations presented there continue to shape discussions about the future of AI-powered living.

The company’s strategy rests on three pillars that remain highly relevant: Affectionate Intelligence evolving into action-oriented AI, industry-leading products grounded in technological excellence, and a seamlessly orchestrated ecosystem extending beyond the home into vehicles and commercial spaces. All of these are aimed at delivering tangible, everyday customer value.

Revisiting the Event

Under the theme “Innovation in tune with you,” LG welcomed around 1,000 guests in Las Vegas, with many more joining via livestream worldwide. The showcase reaffirmed LG’s commitment to customer-centric innovation that genuinely makes life better — a message that still resonates today.

From Affectionate Intelligence to AI in Action

LG demonstrates how its AI moves beyond conversation to actively orchestrate devices, spaces and services, making everyday life more comfortable, efficient and intuitive. This evolution from Affectionate Intelligence to AI in Action remains a central narrative in LG’s vision.

Zero Labor Home and LG CLOiD

CEO Lyu Jae-cheol posed the question: “What if AI could step out of the screen and start working for us in real life?” His answer is LG’s Zero Labor Home concept, where intelligent devices act as agent appliances, collectively managing daily tasks to give customers back their most valuable resource: time.

LG CLOiD, introduced as a “home-specialized agent,” embodies this vision. With two arms and five-fingered hands, CLOiD learns and adapts to the home environment, performing tasks safely and efficiently. Even now, the idea of a robot seamlessly folding laundry, organizing dishes, and preparing workout clothes feels like a glimpse into the near future.

Excellence in Device Innovation

LG also showcased its next-generation OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV, the AI-enhanced LG SIGNATURE refrigerator, and the LG SIGNATURE Oven Range. Each product illustrates how advanced AI can elevate performance and ease of use — from conversational AI in the fridge to Gourmet AI in the oven.

These innovations continue to stand out as examples of how AI can be embedded into everyday appliances to deliver practical value.

Beyond the Home

LG’s vision extends into vehicles and commercial spaces. Its AI-powered in-vehicle solutions transform cars into personalized, intelligent environments, while AI-driven HVAC systems support high-efficiency cooling for data centers. These expansions highlight LG’s ambition to create a fully connected ecosystem that reaches far beyond the household.

A Lasting Message

Closing the January event, LG CLOiD reflected the company’s Life’s Good brand promise:
“The future we share today is one where technology quietly supports people in meaningful ways. With LG’s approach to AI in Action, everyday life becomes better, more meaningful and more human.”

Two months later, that message still feels timely — a reminder that LG’s CES 2026 showcase was not just about unveiling products, but about setting a long-term vision for how AI can enrich everyday life.
