TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Toyota Motor Sales & Marketing Corporation proudly announces the release of “DIVE into the HYBRID”, a unique video that puts the exciting and sensational sounds of Toyota Racing’s TS040 HYBRID race car to the beat of popular Japanese songwriter and music producer Yasutaka Nakata. The video debuts at Toyota’s 2015 motorsports activities press conference today in Odaiba, Tokyo. 
The state-of-the-art TS040 HYBRID has proven that Toyota’s hybrid technology is more than just environment friendly—it also boosts the “Fun to Drive” quotient by providing superior acceleration performance. It was just such performance that helped rocket Toyota to become the first Japanese manufacturer ever to win the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) manufacturers’ title, when it captured the crown in 2014.

“DIVE into the HYBRID” combines super-exciting racing sounds and new music by Nakata (see profile below) to open a new dimension in exhilaration. High-quality audio samplings of the TS040 HYBRID—which has competed in such venerable WEC races as the 24 Hours of Le Mans—were obtained by closely monitoring the race car all the way from factory development to circuit driving. Nakata, one of Japan’s leading musicians, wove the samplings into new music to create a listening experience that inspires drivers to dive into the exciting driving stimuli and experience of hybrid cars.
